Auditor 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN Soni’s growing client seeking an experienced Audit Consultant to support a large, time-sensitive financial audit project. The role is part-time and temporary, requiring deep familiarity with audit preparation, nonprofit financials, and complex documentation. The ideal candidate will be a former auditor with the ability to take full ownership of their work and deliver on tight deadlines. Strong technical skills and a detail-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audit deliverables Perform in-depth account analysis and reconciliations (e.g., receivables, payables, pledges, investments, etc.) Compile and organize all supporting materials including bank reconciliations, GL reports, and financial policies Track and document grants, contributions, event revenue, and income by category Assist with preparation of trial balances and functional expense statements across multiple years

Required Skills and Experience:

3-5 years of experience in auditing Prior experience working directly on audit engagements (public accounting or internal audit background preferred) Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with QuickBooks Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA a plus) Self-starter who can manage time and workflow independently Familiarity with audit-related documentation such as IRS letters, bylaws, investment policies, board minutes, and pledge agreements Ability to interpret and analyze multi-year financial data and reconciliations

Compensation:

$40 – $44/Hour Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications . #SONITN
