Position Summary:
Performs monitoring and auditing functions of coding through data collection and documentation review in accordance with the Coding Compliance Plan. Identifies areas of concern and works collaboratively with Coding Manager to address.
Position Qualification:
Associates in Health Information Mgmt Preferred.
3-5 years Hospital coding experience Required
Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and prefer a CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
