Responsible for assurance of quality standards through processauditing and in-process inspection of product, as well as incominginspections of raw materials received at building 2 to ensure thatspecifications are met. Reports potential quality related problemsto quality management. Recommends corrective actions, as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducts in-processinspections and audits of processes according to a set schedule toensure product specifications are met in all aspects of themanufacturing process.
  • Prepares quality reports for trendanalysis and identification of problems areas.
  • Assists qualitymanagement in identifying, communicating and facilitating the needfor changes to enhance process and product quality.
  • Coordinatescollection of data for use in the repair process.
  • Conducts dailyaudits of the repair process to ensure the work instructions arebeing followed and that the individuals performing the work havebeen trained.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing and qualitymanagement when defects or deviations to specifications are found.
  • Communicates potential quality problems to quality management.
  • Conducts incoming inspection on components from vendors, asrequired.
  • Records quality data and transactions.
  • Communicatesresults in reports and assists in Corrective Action Reports asnecessary.
  • Provides support to the repair process during theimplementation of new work instructions and changes to existingwork instructions.
  • Assists with the implementation of qualityprogram(s) into manufacturing based on ISO requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment byidentifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actionswhen necessary.
  • Responsible for utilizing proper lifting andmaterial movement techniques at all times.
  • Actively works toimprove processes in the company.
  • Performs cosmetic checks onunits.
  • Performs Quality Audits as assigned by the direction andtraining of the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS
  • Two (2) years experience in a manufacturing orservice environment required.
  • One (1) year quality auditingexperience in a reverse logistics or return environment preferred.
  • Technical experience preferred.

  • Ability to speak, read and write English;
  • Computer literate in aWindows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet.
  • Basic math skills.

  • Must be self-motivated with ability touse own initiative.

  • Ability to recognize defects or flaws in routine parts and/orproduct
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ableto squat to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand,stoop and bend.
  • Ability to walk and stand on cement floors forlong periods.
  • Able to work in warehouse environment.
  • Able tohandle routine assignments of a repetitive nature.
  • Able toperform repetitive motion with hands and arms
  • Able to wear ESDgloves.
  • Good visual acuity.
