This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of medical terminology and systems used in healthcare. The ideal candidate will ensure that all medical records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations, contributing to the overall efficiency of the healthcare team. Duties Organize and maintain electronic patient medical records, ensuring they are complete and accurate. Review and verify the accuracy of patient information entered into electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Collaborate with other members of the surgery center’s business office to learn admissions and scheduling as a back-up. Requirements Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare systems. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and patients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
