Loan Review Auditor II Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform audit fieldwork as assigned on the Bank’s lending function to identify risks that may impact the Bank. Participate in audit pre-planning meetings and assist in the creation and on-going development of audit work programs to gauge compliance with the Bank’s policies and internal control framework. Ensure all audit review work papers are properly documented, accurate, and completed timely to meet the goals of the annual loan review plan. Discuss any findings with the Loan Review Manager and assist in the development of a corrective action plan if needed. Prepare loan review reports that are timely, accurate, objective, and provide value to Management. Assist in the preparation of information for presentation to the quarterly Board Finance and Audit Committees. Assist in the development of the annual loan review audit risk assessment. Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Bank’s Personnel Policy and the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Code of Ethics. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
3+ years bank experience with a basic understanding of the lending function. 3-5 years of bank audit/examination/loan review experience preferred. 4-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field preferred. Basic understanding of loan underwriting concepts, such as cash flow and financial statement analysis. Solid knowledge of banking laws and regulations. Ability to develop loan review audit scopes and complete reviews with some supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present simple findings to Management / Board Ability to work independently with little supervision. Detail oriented. Solid ability to use MS Office and other standard software applications.
