Collision Estimator MFWPS Morrow, GA Job Details Full-time $50,000 – $60,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Service writing Automotive repair Brake repair Management Service writer experience (1-2 years) Auto estimating Sales Customer service Maintenance Mid-level Auto service management Driver’s License Sales experience (1-2 years) Suspension Vehicle maintenance Alignment Automotive service Insurance claim processing Automotive diagnostics Dealership experience Mechanical knowledge Transmissions Diesel engine repair Full Job Description Collision estimator job description Some duties of a collision estimator include: Inspect vehicles for damages and evaluate using visual inspection, mechanical testing devices, road tests and information provided by the customer Evaluate the necessity and cost of repairs Collect insurance estimates after reviewing damage Meet with customers to discuss damages, repair process and timeline and costs Create accurate estimates that detail repair and labor costs Place work orders detailing part replacements and repairs and enter information into the work management system Maintain communication with customers and answer questions throughout the repair process Keep record of repair details and complete necessary paperwork Effectively manage multiple repairs simultaneously Implement an effective quality check process by inspecting repaired vehicles and ensuring the repair is up to standard Complete final paperwork and payment with the customer Provide exceptional customer service and create ongoing relationships with customers Summary As a Collision Estimator, you will be essential in assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate repair estimates to customers. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will utilize your core skills in automotive diagnostics, customer service, and auto estimating to ensure a seamless repair process. Your premium experience in dealership environments and auto service management will enhance your ability to communicate effectively with clients and technicians. Additionally, your relevant knowledge of automotive repair, including transmissions and brake systems, will support the organization in delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Strong automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge Experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair Proficient in auto estimating and service writing Excellent customer service and sales skills Familiarity with transmissions, alignment, and brake repair Preferred experience in dealership settings and auto service management Relevant skills in diesel engine repair and suspension systems
