Primary Job Purpose :

The Branch Manager is responsible for the operations and sales functions of a branch, while delivering superior customer service, in order to support overall Bank goals and objectives. The Branch Manager is responsible for business development within the branch market to meet or exceed business development goals, coaching and discipline of staff, and adherence to policies and procedures. The Branch Manager must be able to assume any branch task in the event of a staff member being unavailable or having a contingency plan in place to meet unforeseen circumstances. Responsibilities for

Branch Manager:

Responsible for generating business and deepening customer relationships Evaluate customers’ financial needs in order to provide banking solutions, including referring them to the appropriate bank personnel as needed Responsible for all aspects of the account opening process Responsible for the maintenance and servicing of existing accounts Identify the needs of new and existing customers and offer appropriate services to assist the Bank in deposit growth, business relationship growth, and consumer relationship growth Answer questions and customer concerns regarding checking and savings accounts Resolves client complaints and error resolution in a timely manner Exhibits excellent time management skills Assist in community awareness events to increase bank outreach and foster new business opportunities Compliance with regulations and Bank Security Program requirements Input consumer and mortgage loan information into loan system for processing purposes Adhering to the Company’s policies and supporting Management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner Collect financial and other pertinent data for submission to underwriting and loan processing departments Inform prospective borrowers of loan commitment, proposal or denial Manage customer contact during application, signing, and funding with borrower Maintain working knowledge of both personal and business electronic banking products, including internet/mobile services, cash management and electronic payment solutions Ensure the Branch balances all transactions at close of each business day. Assist tellers and others resolve balancing problems and authorize over/short adjustments. Conduct surprise audits as necessary to verify accuracy of teller balances. Make regular business development calls to solicit new business or improve services to existing clients Join area service clubs and organizations, and represent the Bank at functions and meetings Responsible for completing all training courses as assigned Review employee time and monitor employee leave time to ensure it is being used according to company policy Conduct performance reviews, and prepare disciplinary documentation when appropriate Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications for

Branch Manager:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is preferred Prior banking experience or experience in management, sales and customer service is preferred Knowledge of banking rules and regulations Ability to maintain a professional, courteous demeanor even under high-pressure circumstances Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Well-developed sales skills (probing, supporting, overcoming objections, closing) Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to listen and assess the needs of the customer Ability to use time and resources efficiently in order to accomplish tasks Experience in efficient personal organization and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Experience seeking to improve and develop new process and ideas related to daily banking tasks Team player Possess a valid driver’s license Ability to navigate and learn new computer systems Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organizational levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to study and apply new information Jack Henry Silverlake experience is preferred
