The Aquatics Branch Manager (BM) plays a pivotal leadership role at Foster Lake & Pond Management (FLPM), overseeing all operational, personnel, and client-facing functions of the Jacksonville branch. This individual serves as the local representative of the company’s Core Values and Vision, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while actively supporting the organization’s long-term goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all aspects of branch operations, including field service execution and administrative oversight. Lead, develop, and supervise Technicians, Associate Service Managers (ASMs), and Service Managers (SMs). Represent the Jacksonville branch in company leadership meetings and initiatives. Maintain full proficiency in FLPM policies, software platforms, and operational procedures. Drive sales, marketing initiatives, and client engagement strategies. Audit accounts, provide staff feedback, and ensure performance alignment with company standards. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and terminations. Conduct fieldwork and job site visits monthly to assess service delivery and mentor team members. Implement internal and external training programs to support employee development. Track inventory and assist in budget planning and product ordering. Actively participate in leadership meetings and marketing events (minimum 8 annually). Promote safety by ensuring use of appropriate PPE and adherence to company protocols.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or related experience in landscaping, environmental management, water resources, fisheries science, or stormwater maintenance preferred.

Professional Experience:

Demonstrated expertise in: Aquatic vegetation and freshwater fishery management Fountain and aeration system installation/maintenance Stormwater device operations Trash and debris removal Boat operation and trailering Account management and customer service Sales and marketing Team leadership and personnel management Certifications (preferred or to be obtained): NC Aquatic Pesticide Applicator License NC Stormwater Control Measure (SCM)

Certification Key Competencies:

Positive, professional demeanor and can-do attitude Ability to lead and develop teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, mapping/GIS, and company-specific software Comfortable working outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions Capable of lifting/moving up to 80 lbs regularly Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays
