SUMMARY :
Responsible for the management, supervision, and direction of the branch activities including the successful execution of sales, operational, and customer service goals. Performs business development activities to promote the branch’s deposit and lending portfolio growth and profitability. Performs other related duties as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides overall supervision of branch employees and oversight of the branch sales, service, and operational activities as well as assignment of duties; establishes performance standards; conducts performance management; and determines staffing, training, and development needs. Formulates and executes business development plans that align with organizational corporate goals. Conducts referrals follow-up; calls and visits to new and existing clients; and participates in a community or industry-related functions. Maintains business and professional community contacts to enhance business opportunities. Ensures and promotes an excellent customer experience. Manages a client relationship portfolio with a focus on building and retaining customer relationships. Acts as the primary contact for assigned accounts and ensures timely delivery of quality service and issue resolution. Will also assist walk-in clients. Analyzes clients’ and prospects’ assets and needs; determines appropriate consumer and commercial products and services; recommends solutions to meet those needs. Will also make appropriate referrals to business partners including investment, wealth management, trust, and commercial lending. Tracks and reports on the branch’s activities including sales sourcing activities, pipeline, and progress toward the branch’s sales business plan. Works with Regional Market Manager in assessing the branch’s performance and opportunities.
Prepares an annual branch budget:
reviews and analyzes historical data; analyzes variances; forecasts expenditures and income. Works with management and finance to ensure the branch budget meets the organization’s strategic goals. Minimizes the bank’s liability exposure by ensuring staff compliance with established policies and procedures, internal controls, and legal and regulatory guidelines. Collaborates with Operations Manager in maintaining established security controls to protect the branch against criminal and fraudulent activities and unnecessary risk or exposure. Maintains knowledge base of legislation and regulations that affect the Consumer Branch and the bank. Conducts regular staff meetings to review the branch and organization’s goals, results, and priorities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises branch employees and is responsible for the direction and coordination of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. Seven years of branch management experience with proven business development skills; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong product knowledge and understanding of standard branch banking operation policies and procedures. Strong leadership and organizational skills are required to prioritize assignments and provide employee coaching. Proven ability to maximize sales through established industry contacts and Center of Influence (COI) relationships.
