Reporting to the General Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for the financial oversight and daily administration of a full-service branch office. This includes cost accounting, logistics, revenue generation, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The Branch Manager will develop and execute both tactical and strategic plans focused on cost control and revenue growth. This includes growing the branch’s fleet utilization and expanding overall market share within a defined geographic area. Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Development Assign sales territories, set goals and establish training for sales staff
Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by sales reps
Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses
Assists sales reps in preparation of proposals and presentations
Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction Identify top competitive threats and opportunities and submits turn down summary to marketing and region staff. Leadership Builds effective communication with staff to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for improving overall performance
Recruits and hires sales representatives and branch personnel based on criteria agreed upon by senior management and Human Resources
Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up
Sets strong example for sales reps and branch personnel in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
Conducts regular coaching and counseling with staff to build motivation and develop selling skills Budgeting & Reporting Timely submittal of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Manage Travel and Living expenses to budgeted requirements.
Oversees the administration of the billing, lease and accounts payable processes.
Involvement in the credit approval process and accounts receivable adjustments.
Responsible for developing accurate, competitive pricing in the marketplace.
Develop and manage the operating budget, both revenue and expenses.
Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines Facilities & Asset Management Responsible for total facilities management (service center, yard and storage locations). Performs other job-related duties in area of responsibility, as assigned
Manage inventory and control fleet assets including code documentation.
Qualification:
5+ years of experience in sales, preferability within B2B rentals
5+ years of experience in a managerial role
