Position Overview As the Branch Manager for Waste Hauling, you will be responsible for the full operational, financial, and personnel management of your branch. This role requires a strong leader with deep knowledge of waste hauling, who can drive revenue, ensure compliance, and build high-performing teams that deliver outstanding service to our customers. You’ll be expected to lead by example, instill a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence, and partner across departments to achieve business objectives. This is a critical leadership role for someone ready to take ownership of branch growth and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead branch operations focused on revenue growth to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Manage branch P&L and develop strategic plans to meet financial targets and operational KPIs. Oversee all aspects of transportation, including dispatch, driver performance, DOT compliance, and equipment utilization. Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and administrative staff. Ensure adherence to company safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, state/local laws). Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and service excellence. Collaborate with functional teams (Finance, Safety, HR, Compliance) to resolve issues and implement solutions. Monitor and analyze key metrics related to route efficiency, driver productivity, equipment ROI, and service delivery. Promote a proactive, service-driven culture with a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of operations or transportation management experience, with direct oversight of P&L and team leadership. Proven track record in waste services, environmental solutions, waste hauling, or a related field. Strong leadership skills in coaching, performance management, and employee development. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in military or waste hauling operations considered. In-depth understanding of DOT regulations, equipment dispatch, and driver compliance programs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with logistics or fleet management software is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
