This is a fantastic opportunity to play a critical role which assists in the overseeing of daily production activities, ensuring the efficient operation of the branch through enhancing productivity and business growth. Steel Service Center experience is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As the General Manager you will oversee and manage the daily sales and production operations of the Louisiana plant. You will assist in ensuring the smooth execution of production processes while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Your role is essential in helping to managing workflows, supervising sales and production staff, and meeting our production targets.
Branch Overall:
Lead the strategic planning and execution to enhance productivity, manage resources, and drive business growth Responsible for Profit/Loss of Branch Limited book of key accounts (if required) Policy Manual enforcement at branch Focus on monitoring and evaluating inventory along with inventory turns Implement proper cost controls Promote proper business ethics; foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive work environment. Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) and financial metrics to track performance of the branch Ultimately responsible for all hiring and firing of branch personnel
Sales:
Hire and train new sales associates Develop existing sales personnel to maximize sales and profits Involved in the quotation process with Sales Representatives Checking orders for profitability and proper allocation Monitor and strictly enforce corporate Drop policy
Warehouse:
Supervise Plant Manager Approve all overtime hours Ensure warehouse is staffed effectively Promote proper use of equipment and stress safety overall Review all Non-conformance with
Plant Manager Office Personnel:
Assist Plant Manager with office issues (hiring, firing, disciplinary issues) Oversee Traffic, CAD, Office Administration and Order Entry functions Reports Directly to: Chief Operations Officer (COO)
