For more information, visit apiofnh.com Job Summary The Assistant Branch Manager plays a key role in supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the branch, ensuring all functions are executed efficiently and in accordance with company standards. This role is responsible for fostering a positive environment that promotes trust, service excellence, security, and customer satisfaction. In collaboration with the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager shares responsibility for customer service, inventory management, merchandising, sales support, workplace safety, on-time will-call fulfillment, counter sales, product delivery, and overall branch performance. Duties & Responsibilities Customer Interaction Delivers high-quality customer service through timely communication, effective issue resolution, and proactive follow-up. Responds promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, or fax. Maintains professional relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Collaborates cross-functionally to resolve issues and support strong business relationships with a solutions-oriented approach. General Supports the Branch Manager with opening and closing duties and adjusts work schedule based on business needs. Assumes leadership responsibilities in the Branch Manager’s absence, overseeing team operations, customer service, and workflow management. Handles emergency or after-hours openings as required. Performs accurate order entry and ensures timely processing of order pulling, will calls, and deliveries. Manages incoming calls, returns messages promptly, and ensures effective communication flow. Ensures proper procedures are being followed in all aspects of Order Entry. Promotes a safe work environment by modeling proper safety practices, addressing issues, and completing required safety documentation. Merchandising Maintains clean, organized, and visually appealing front shelving, aisles, endcaps, and literature displays. Oversees aisle upkeep, directing staff to maintain counters and sales floor presentation as needed. Distributes and promotes marketing materials such as flyers and signage to staff and customers. Manages and updates product literature and catalog library to ensure accuracy and availability.

Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job, such as data entry, messaging, call logs, data notations, queue updates, batching, or other job & office functions and requirements. Qualifications High School diploma or its GED equivalent. 3 or more years’ experience with logistics or distribution and related functions. 2 or more years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficient in using office technology, including computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems, and virtual meeting platforms, as required for daily responsibilities. Physical Demands & Work Environment This position may require up to 40-43 hours per week and involves regular physical activity, including: Frequent lifting of 25-50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. Operating forklifts and material handling equipment for up to 6 hours daily. Regular bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching. Pushing/pulling objects up to 300 lbs. occasionally. Prolonged use of hands, arms, and feet for equipment operation. Periods of sitting, standing, walking, and twisting throughout the shift. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
