Job Description

Branch Manager SS Medical 117 Abbey Rd, Madison, MS 39110 SS Medical, Inc. is seeking a dedicated team member to spearhead our branch in Madison, MS. This role offers a unique field and office home medical equipment responsibilities. Position Overview :

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of all aspects related home medical equipment delivery for Veteran’s Administration contracts. This includes inventory management, maintenance, and distribution of home medical equipment to veterans in a home care setting. The manager will work closely with corporate leadership and the Veteran’s Administration to ensure timely delivery and quality service according to the VISN contract statement of work.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:

Overall management of your HME branch location according to the VISN contract statement of work and Joint Commission Standards. As a representative of the company, you will build quality working relationships with the local VA leadership in the prosthetics, respiratory and logistics departments. Embrace and incorporate the company’s Mission Statement and Culture of Safety in the daily management of your branch location including interactions with the local and corporate teams.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of all home medical equipment, including serial numbers, models, and locations. Monitor inventory levels and forecast equipment needs based on the VA contract statement of work requirements. Manage inventory control measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage.

Equipment and Warehouse Maintenance:

Manage a preventative maintenance program for all home medical equipment. Coordinate repairs and servicing of equipment purchased by the VA and stored in the branch location. Ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with corporate policies and the Joint Commission Standards. Overall management and oversight of warehouse operations according to corporate, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.

Equipment Distribution:

Collaborate with corporate leadership and local VA representatives to prepare for the receipt and proper storage of the equipment required in the contract statement of work. Schedule and dispatch technicians to coordinate the timely delivery and installation of home medical equipment according to the requirements specified in the contract statement of work. Provide education and training for the local staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and warehouse.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate documentation of equipment, including serial numbers, models, and location in the corporate network system. Prepare reports on equipment inventory and submit to VA prosthetics management. Monitor inventory levels and forecast equipment needs based on the VA contract statement of work requirements. Manage inventory control measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage. Ensure timely documentation to meet corporate and Joint Commission standards, and ultimately the requirements of the contract statement of work.

Quality and Process Improvement:

Assist with monitoring quality assurance processes to ensure the safety and effectiveness of home medical equipment. Participate in regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement. Address any issues or concerns related to equipment quality promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

Proven experience in managing home medical equipment, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of home medical equipment types, functions, and regulations. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills for problem-solving. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer systems and software used for inventory management and documentation.
