Role:

The Assistant Branch Manager will play a vital role in the daily operations of our branch, ensuring smooth processes, effective personnel supervision, and a safe working environment. You will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in a variety of activities, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, customer service, and team leadership. This position requires a strong understanding of operational procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making, especially when assuming temporary branch manager responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Support the Branch Manager with daily tasks and administrative functions, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Manage and coordinate inventory, including incoming/outgoing rental trailers and equipment.
Ensure quality of work assignments and projects.
Identify and address safety risks.
Maintain organized and well-stocked inventory.
Manage inventory control system for rental and shop equipment/tools.
Assist with scheduling and proactively manage maintenance, cleaning, modifications, and repairs.
Maintain service repair logs and trailer check-out/in forms.
Support upper management with employee life cycle, training, disciplinary processes, and policy enforcement.
Ensure cost-effective completion of tasks and trailer builds.
Maintain a list of subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, cleaners, refrigeration, etc.).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role/capacity.
Basic inventory knowledge and familiarity with restaurant equipment, metalworking, plumbing, electrical, carpentry work, and hand/power tools.
Understanding of DOT regulations for trailers/vehicles and compliance with OSHA rules.
Strong knowledge of management support functions and essential day-to-day administrative duties.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office software.
Experience managing, planning, and organizing a variety of assignments.
Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to meet the physical demands of a warehouse/outdoor environment. This includes frequently stepping in/out of trailers, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 40 lbs. The ability to operate hand/power tools is essential. The work environment involves outdoor work with fluctuating temperatures and exposure to the elements. Conditions can be loud, wet, cold, hot, dusty, greasy, dirty, and slippery. All listed physical demands are essential functions.
