Wake County Public Libraries is searching for a Library Branch Manager for the Southgate Community Library . The library is located in the Southgate Plaza Shopping Center at 1601-14 Cross Link Road, Raleigh, NC 27610, convenient to 40 and 440 and just outside downtown. South/Southeast Raleigh is growing in leaps and bounds. This community will be getting a brand-new larger library as part of the Library Bond passed in November 2024. The Library Manager is responsible for the facility and operations, managing the program experience and supervising a team of Librarians, Library Assistants and Pages. Managers have the opportunity to collaborate with peers and participate in system projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the facility and daily operations Supervising 2 FTE of Librarians, 2 FTE of Library Assistants and Pages Ensuring that the program experience meets the needs of the community Library Managers typically work 8:15-5:15 on weekdays; nights and weekends as needed.
