Branch Manager VaVia – Columbia West Columbia, SC 29169 VaVia Columbia is looking for a motivated, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations, grow sales, and develop a high-performing team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility, excels in fast-paced environments, and enjoys wearing multiple hats—from team leadership to operations to local marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Logistics Oversee daily operations, dispatching, scheduling, and equipment maintenance. Manage vendor relationships with landfills, fleet services, and other partners. Monitor truck and container lifespans and schedule necessary maintenance. Sales & Customer Relationships Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline. Identify new opportunities and nurture relationships with existing customers. Represent VaVia Columbia at local events and networking opportunities. Team Leadership Hire, train, and manage drivers and support staff. Provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance and customer service. Lead weekly team meetings and SOP reviews. Marketing & Brand Visibility Collaborate on local marketing initiatives including social media, sponsorships, and community outreach. Finance & Admin Ensure credit card processing, invoicing, and basic financial tracking are completed accurately and on time. Safety & Compliance Uphold a safe working environment in line with all federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular safety briefings and driver training.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience managing teams and operations. Excellent communication, planning, and time management skills. Tech-savvy with working knowledge of software tools and platforms. Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day tasks.
