Role:
To assist customers and potential customers with their banking needs; to assist customers with consumer loan applications; look for cross-sell opportunities and make appropriate referrals. A desire to assist customers through lending is preferred.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 40% Assists customers with the opening and closing all account types; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems; helps customers with electronic funds transfers; provides expertise in internet banking products; responds to problems and directs customers to the appropriate person or team; identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells products and services. Perform teller duties as needed. E 20% Assists in taking consumer loan applications, entering data in loan system and help with closings. May maintain a small consumer loan portfolio. E 15% Assists Branch Manager in resolving customer problems and complaints; ensures that staff follows bank policies and procedures and helps branch personnel with questions and issues; approves checks for cashing up to established limits; coordinates scheduling of vacations, sick days, etc. with all staff; makes monthly schedule to ensure branch is adequately staffed and work with the teller staffing coordinator to request relief needs. E 5% Trains, directs, and evaluates employee performance within the department; identifies performance problems and assists Branch Manager with corrective counseling with branch staff. E 5% Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the proper completion of the Branch Review Forms including communicating form updates to the branch staff when necessary. E 5% Responsible for and assists with the quarterly surprise cash audits (tellers, RBG, & ATM); perform teller duties and manage the vault and daily cash target requirements when needed. E 5% Monitors branch activities for compliance with established policy and regulations; takes action to resolve any non-compliant issues. N 5% Performs other duties as assigned.

To maintain an excellent knowledge of financial services offered by the bank; to be knowledgeable of competitors’ services. 4. To be punctual and have regular attendance. 5. To produce assigned loan volume, in total dollars produced and overall loan portfolio balance. 6. To meet goals in selling credit life and disability insurance on new and renewed loans. 7. To provide friendly, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all customers. 8. To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures. To comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations. 9. To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with co-workers. 10. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance at all times. 11. To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills Must have computer skills with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software; Physical Requirements The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or customers and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and may require travel to branches and other office buildings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
