Accounts Receivable Clerk I AM Roofing Prattville, AL 36066 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, collecting past due amounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in financial software, making it essential for the candidate to have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable workflows Oversee invoice creation, finalization, and collections follow-up Process vendor bills and ensure payments are made on time per terms Prepare, submit, and reconcile payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly basis Update and maintain the Cash Management Workbook weekly Coordinate with accountant/bookkeeper to deliver accurate monthly financials Maintain up-to-date insurance documentation (Workers’ Comp, GL) Reconcile QuickBooks weekly and ensure accurate categorization Track and report on AR aging, cash flow, and payables weekly Qualifications Confident in QuickBooks, payroll tools, and spreadsheets. Strong understanding of financial concepts, including account reconciliation and general accounting principles. Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding payment issues. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in an accounts receivable or similar role is advantageous.
