Job Summary:
The Driver Accounting Specialist assists with driver or managers questions regarding driver expenses, reconciles owner-operator/lease/contract driver general ledger accounts, and reconciles manager advance accounts. Compensation is $13-$15/hr depending on experience.
Essential Duties:
Reconciles driver general ledger accounts for company and owner-operator/lease/contract drivers Reconciles terminated drivers’ and transfer drivers’ balances Assists with driver payroll Sends driver advance/expense report to service centers Prepares and enter driver expense journal entry and journal entry for payroll deductions and reimbursements Sends driver bonuses to payroll Files sales and use taxes for Alabama, Florida and Jefferson County, AL Files general excise tax for the state of Hawaii for Covan World Wide, Big Isle, and Coleman Hawaii Movers, Inc. Prepares driver payroll Imports Comdata/EFS cash advances and fuel transactions into Southware Assists with Comdata MasterCard setup and distribution Assists drivers and managers with driver pay questions Maintains Independent Contractor Agreements along with correlating documents Submits payments to Comdata and EFS Assists Accounts Payable department
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good data entry skills Good accounting skills Able to use a 10 key calculator Familiar with company software Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, etc.
