We are seeking a motivated Assistant Controller with 5+ years of accounting experience or a combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate has expertise in payroll processing (P/R), general ledger balancing (G/L), and accounts payable/receivable (A/P & A/R). Experience in construction job costing and proficiency in eCMS and COINS software is preferred but not required. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll (P/R), ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage general ledger (G/L), reconciliations, and reporting. Assist with
A/P & A/R
functions to ensure timely processing. Utilize eCMS and COINS for job cost accounting and reporting (willing to train). Track construction job costs and assist with budgeting. Support month-end/year-end closing, financial audits, and reporting. Prepare financial statements and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Work with project managers and leadership to improve financial operations. Assist in developing internal controls and accounting processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
5+ years of accounting experience , preferably in construction. Experience with payroll (P/R), G/L, job cost accounting, A/P & A/R. Proficiency in Excel and financial software. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
