ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
100-year-old company is seeking to bring an Accounting Specialist onto their successful team!!
PAY:
50-60K Depending on Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal Accounting Specialist candidate will have experience in different areas of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting. This person should have the ability to be steadfast and diligent in paying vendor invoices as received, calculate, and pay consumer use tax, research and resolve vendor inquiries, and process employee expense statements via SAP Concur. Additionally, this individual must be able to perform account reconciliations, assist with month-end closing processes, and assist with accounts receivable when needed. Overall, this person should have the ability to adapt to changing priorities. This candidate must be proficient in Excel and possess the ability to learn the company’s manufacturing ERP system in a timely manner. The essential responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist are not limited to the following: Process vendor invoices Work with vendors to resolve issues Verify 3-way match Oversee employee expense reports and ensure acquisition of all receipts and proper GL coding Calculate and pay consumer use tax Act as backup for the Accounts Receivable Specialist Track freight expenses and provide monthly freight accrual Oversee temporary employee pay Perform various account reconciliations Assist with month end closing Process journal entries Provide assistance as required in all areas of the accounting department Light executive assistant duties and responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS
of the
Accounting Specialist:
BS in Accounting or Finance preferred 3+ years of experience NetSuite, or similar ERP experience is preferred SAP Concur experience is preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to build Pivot Tables and utilize formulas such as VLOOKUP, IF, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
