Accounts Payable Clerk
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will handle high-volume invoice processing and ensure accurate data entry across multiple accounts. Based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, this position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices into QuickBooks for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process and organize weekly payable runs, including preparing checks for mailing.
- Maintain organized vendor files by filing invoices and check stubs appropriately.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies as needed.
- Manage a high volume of invoices, processing 400-500+ invoices weekly.
- Collaborate with accountants and controllers to support accounts payable operations.
- Ensure all invoices are coded and approved before entry into the system.
- Assist with other administrative tasks related to accounts payable as required
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, particularly the desktop version, is highly preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to handle high volumes of invoices while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for organizing and tracking data.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for vendor interactions.
- Flexibility to work on-site during standard business hours.
