Accounts Receivable Specialist Southern Guard Roofing 500 Chase Pk South, Hoover, AL 35244 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts, as well as proficiency in multi-tasking. Responsibilities Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently. Perform credit analysis to assess customer creditworthiness for 3rd party financing. Maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring all transactions are documented correctly. Conduct double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve billing inquiries and disputes. Prepare and send out invoices in a timely manner. Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers as necessary. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable. Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. Utilize accounting software for efficient record management. Qualifications Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role is preferred. Familiarity with insurance billing processes is a plus. Strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting principles. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel is advantageous.
