Accounting Clerk Position Available In Macon, Alabama

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team on a Contract basis in Tuskegee, Alabama. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in administrative and accounting tasks, including filing, reconciliations, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will also contribute to fixed asset management and inventory-related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain organized filing systems and ensure documents are accurately stored.
• Perform light reconciliations to support accounting processes.
• Assist with copying and printing tasks as needed.
• Tag fixed assets across various buildings and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide support in reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Collaborate on inventory tasks, including label printing and tracking.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting purposes.
• Contribute to general administrative duties as required to support the team. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with filing and document management practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to perform light reconciliations and basic accounting tasks.
• Understanding of inventory management and fixed asset tagging.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Prior experience in higher education or similar industries is a plus.
