Accounting Clerk Position Available In Macon, Alabama

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Tuskegee, Alabama. In this long-term contract role, you will provide essential support to the accounting department, ensuring the smooth execution of inventory, administrative and financial tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your organizational and accounting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain filing systems to ensure quick access to important documents.
• Perform light reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
• Assist with copying and printing tasks to support departmental operations.
• Tag fixed assets located in various buildings for inventory tracking purposes.
• Support the review process for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and fixed assets.
• Generate labels and maintain inventory records with accuracy.
• Utilize software tools such as Excel and Word to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to address additional needs as they arise. Requirements
• Prior experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Proficiency in filing and maintaining organized records.
• Familiarity with basic inventory practices and asset tagging.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to perform light reconciliations and verify financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Previous experience in a higher education or similar environment is a plus.
