Comptroller Description Summary:

This is professional accounting work of a routine nature. Supervision is received from the collections manager.

Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in the collection of all university charges, fines and damage.
Process checks returned by bank.
Assists in the preparation and distribution of invoices and statements.
Reviews reports and invoices received from collection agencies and billing companies.
Identifies and analyzes AR accounts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field.
Two (2) years of professional level experience in accounting or auditing work.

Supplemental Information Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Considerable knowledge of collections and billing systems.
Considerable knowledge of computer based accounting systems.
Considerable knowledge of due diligence procedures.
Considerable knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations and procedures.
