The Accounting Specialist role is ideal for a recent college graduate seeking to begin a career. This role will involve handling a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and document management. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a collaborative attitude to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day accounting functions.
Position Accounting Specialist Location Huntsville, AL Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Accurately post payment to customer accounts Record daily bank activity into Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable systems Assist with verifying and entering vendor invoices Process and mail customer statements and collection letters Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations Scan, organize, and file accounting documents Track and manage renewals of company licenses and permits Prepare monthly sales tax reports Maintain reports and provide requested information/analysis to management Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
