. Job Statement
Performs Miscellaneous Account Receivable billing. Responsible for maintaining customers records and all supporting documents updated.
Essential Duties
Responsibilities:
1. Monitors daily miscellaneous accounts receivable postings within the ERP system and make applicable corrections as needed.
2. Create billings for all non-utility customers for all departments; including but not limited to water/gas taps, and water, gas, and electric aid-to-construction (ATC) work orders, fiber leases, system development fees and Energy programs, mutual aide, ALDOT.
3. Reconciles and balances subsidiary ledgers to accounting records.
4. Answer questions on invoices for non-utility customers providing adequate and accurate information concerning the status of their account.
5. Establishes standing requests for all standard miscellaneous billings.
6. Completes reversal and re-bill functions along with resetting clearing and account maintenance on individual accounts.
7. Prepares monthly aging report and distributes to applicable departments and upper management.
8. Performs write-offs approved by the CFO.
9. Scanning of all AR Checks and supporting documents, AP vouchers, accounting reconciliation and others.
10. Performs P-Card administration by requesting new cards, change of limits, deactivation of cards for terminated employees.
11. Serves as backup to payroll functions and run payroll once a month.
12. Performs special projects and other duties assigned by the Financial Services Supervisor.
Job Requirements
Education:
High school graduate required. Associate degree in business related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in account receivable and/or billing required. Utility Billing or experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Possess the ability to work effectively as a team member and independently. Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
