Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This Contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts receivable, particularly in collections and billing functions. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliation.
- Oversee commercial collections, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records using ERP systems and accounting software, including SAP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and improve efficiency.
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable status, collections progress, and aging balances.
- Utilize accounting functions to analyze and resolve payment issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all accounts receivable activities.
- Support month-end financial processes by providing accurate data and documentation.
- Implement best practices to optimize collection strategies and reduce outstanding debts. Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in accounts receivable, with a focus on collections.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software, experience with SAP is a plus
- Solid understanding of billing functions and commercial collections processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with basic Excel functions for reporting and data analysis.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices relevant to accounts receivable.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
