The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of governmental accounting practices. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP standards. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner. Utilize accounting software such as Xero and other financial software for record-keeping. Assist with tax preparation and filing as needed. Generate financial reports to support management decision-making. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with governmental accounting experience. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, and other financial software tools. Strong understanding of GAAP principles. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, payroll, and tax processes. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments. #
