We are looking for a detail-driven Accounting Support Specialist to join our finance team and help us maintain accurate financial records, support accounting operations, and ensure the smooth financial functioning of our agency.

Primary Function:

The Accounting Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day accounting activities specific to the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable, Payable, and Statement Reconciliations Print & Deliver Daily Checks and Take Bank Deposit Handle bank reconciliations and general ledger entries Manage daily accounting tasks including billing, accounts receivable/payable, and policyholder payments Daily Generation and Distribution of Invoices Retrieving/Printing/Scanning Commission Statements from Company websites Assist with Audits Research Reconcile carrier statements and broker commission reports Support the month-end close process and generate internal financial reports Assist Accounting Department with Additional Duties as

Assigned Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience; insurance industry experience a strong plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook Knowledge of general accounting principles and reconciliation processes Strong organizational skills and time management with attention to detail Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to work well independently.
