United States SUMMARY:

As a Senior IT Product Owner, you’ll collaborate closely with experienced product managers and cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and market needs. Leveraging your strong analytical skills and passion for technology, you’ll assist in gathering market insights, conducting user research, and prioritizing features to drive product development and innovation. You’ll support the execution of product initiatives, assisting in coordinating activities such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing. With guidance and mentorship from seasoned professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in product management, agile methodology, and stakeholder communication. As an integral member of the product management team, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering value to our customers and contributing to the success of our tech products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITEIS
Product Research:

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.

User Feedback Analysis:

Gather and analyze user feedback through surveys, interviews, and usability testing to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements Gathering:

Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to gather and prioritize product requirements. All requirements must include a current and future state process map to be shared and signed off with your sponsor.

Product Planning:

Assist in creating and maintaining the product roadmap, defining features, and release timelines based on business objectives and user needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives.

Feature Prioritization:

Help prioritize features and enhancements based on their impact on user experience, business value, and technical feasibility.

Project Coordination:

Coordinate project activities, tasks, and timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time and within scope.

Documentation:

Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, feature specifications, and release notes, to communicate requirements and updates to stakeholders.

Testing and Validation:

Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of product features to ensure they meet quality standards and user expectations.

Performance Monitoring:

Assist in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and success.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate on product features and enhance the overall user experience.

Learning and Development:

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management, seeking out learning opportunities to grow and develop in the role.

Customer Support:

Provide support to customer-facing teams, including responding to customer inquiries, addressing product-related issues, and assisting with customer training and onboarding.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with product management peers and other team members, sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Strong Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex ideas, influence diverse audiences, and drive stakeholder alignment.

Leadership and Mentorship:

Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and the overall success of the product team.

Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of the industry in which the company operates, including trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations.

Other Duties:

Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization’s vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.

Experience:

3+ years of relevant or practical experience.

Special Skills:

For this specific Senior IT Product Owner role, it is preferred to have the below experience/expertise: Deep Functional Expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD): Extensive hands-on experience with SAP SD module configuration and processes, covering the entire Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle.

Proficiency in key SD components:

Sales Order processing, pricing, availability check (ATP), credit management, shipping, billing, and returns. Knowledge of various sales document types, item categories, and schedule line categories. Understanding of integration points between SAP SD and other modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, PP, CRM).

SAP S/4HANA

Experience (Highly Preferred): Familiarity with

SAP S/4HANA

Sales functionalities and best practices. Experience with S/4HANA simplifications and innovations related to sales order management.

Integration Knowledge:

Understanding of integration technologies and methods for connecting SAP Sales Order Management with other systems (e.g., CRM, e-commerce platforms, external logistics providers). Experience with APIs, IDOCs, or other integration tools.

System Design & Implementation:

Experience in designing, building, and implementing solutions within SAP SD. Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and SAP project implementation methodologies (e.g., Activate).

Configuration Experience:

Hands-on experience in configuring SAP SD to meet specific business requirements.
