JOB SUMMARY
Test Tech must be able to efficiently, and accurately operate the test equipment, accomplish minor troubleshooting of both the test equipment (external fixture diagnosis), and the failed boards; follow complicated test procedures, possibly involving use of equipment such as o-scopes, functional or signal generators, frequency counters, etc.; follow schematics; operate with very little supervision. The tester must insure a quality test by understanding the equipment and the test procedure and never deviating from the acceptable standard. Some basic troubleshooting skills will be necessary to solve routine testing problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to understand, and follow complicated test/repair procedures
Able to configure Test setup from Test Procedures
Ability to perform mathematical computations (Ohms Law calculations, tolerance analysis)
Basic troubleshooting skills for PCB assembly
Basic troubleshooting skills for external items of Functional Tester
Test, Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies.
Document findings and report repetitive/recurring failures.
Familiarize and certify on test equipment for all returned electronic assemblies.
Must have excellent attention to detail and juggle multiple priorities
Trained in, and use, proper ESD handling techniques
Use training knowledge to think independently
Follow routers and ISO instructions specifically Stand for long periods of time; Move about rapidly
Handle a flexible work load
Lift and carry as required Insure proper quality of work
Other duties as directed by management/supervision
Must be courteous and respectful of all non-departmental and departmental employees
Must have a positive attitude and accept change quickly
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Trained in, use, and enforce use of proper ESD handling

Follow ISO instructions for the Engineering Department

May be assigned other duties that will directly or indirectly support the Engineering and/or Operations department.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED
Is supervised by the Engineering Manager and may give guidance or training to production personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work quickly and effectively without close supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous electronic circuit board assembly experience
Extensive electronics/test experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, production area, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is moderately loud and may at times be louder in some areas.
