Active in commodities that range from agricultural softs to fats & oils, we are called upon to protect the interests of clients that include international commodity trade houses, banks, producers and end-users in countries that reach from our core operations throughout the United States and Latin America to Asia.

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting and administrative functions. This individual will handle all aspects of accounts payable and employee expense reports while also handling important administrative tasks – such as preparing recurring reports and assisting the accounting team with month-end close. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3+ years of accounting or finance experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position with room to grow. Strong Excel skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team are required. Knowledge of Acumatica accounting software is a plus (the company is based in Fairfield, CT).

Key Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and ensure accurate coding, approvals, and timely payments. Manage vendor communications and resolve invoice discrepancies. Review and audit employee expense reports, reconcile corporate credit card charges, and support transition to Acumatica expense system. Prepare and submit reports and assist with administrative tasks. Maintain organized documentation to support audits and compliance. Support finance team in the month-end closing process, including journal entry and accrual preparation and account analysis. Handle administrative duties, including support for ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems Familiarity with Acumatica or willingness to learn (training provided) Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Self-driven with a keen attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting Spanish language a plus
