Contract-based assignment About the Client Our client is a respected and well-established organization within the commercial services sector, known for operational excellence and a collaborative team culture. With locations across the U.S. and Canada, the Accounting team plays a pivotal role in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations. They are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to support their AP function during a critical operational period. Key Responsibilities Process, enter, and post Accounts Payable transactions across North American offices Complete invoice matching for Purchase Order (PO) activity, ensuring accuracy with tax and freight allocations Review and audit employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy Assist in weekly payment processing—alternating ACH and check runs for U.S. and Canadian operations Maintain clean documentation and uphold process standards for audit-readiness Qualifications Strong background in Accounts Payable with knowledge of general accounting procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working across multiple financial systems Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus, but not required Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervision Must be adaptable to changing work environments , including hybrid setups and limited in-person training Team Environment & Culture This role supports multiple departments and offices across the U.S. and Canada The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive—someone who naturally takes ownership of tasks and thrives in a process-driven environment A great fit for someone who values structure, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and can maintain accuracy under pressure Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
