Summary:
Trimark Properties is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our company. Must be efficient, detail-oriented, organized and work well with others. The Bookkeeper will assist in managing the day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to residents, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. Essential Functions:
Collect and post rents, fees, and returned payments Batch and process bank deposits Maintain online tenant records and account information Audit charges for new leases Process charges and payments for tenant move-in and move-outs Record various charges and credits to tenant accounts as requested Assist with collections of delinquent accounts Send past due notices to tenants Process final account statements Assist with processing tenant utility packages Update and maintain various logs in Excel (i.e. parking) Will respond to bookkeeping email inquiries Phone support for bookkeeping department Receive and sort mail for office Maintain a positive attitude and a calm demeanor in the face of change or challenges Other duties, as assigned
Required Skills/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Previous bookkeeping experience (preferred) Experience with
QuickBooks:
1 year (preferred, but not required) Experience in the real estate or property management industry (preferred) Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Trustworthy, hardworking and motivated
