Job Description
Fiscal Assistant II (Ap – Disbursement Services) 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 341 Tigert Hall 300 SW 13th St, Gainesville, FL 32611 Account Payables – Disbursement Services is accepting applications for Fiscal Assistant II. This position is part of the CFO’s Division within the Finance & Accounting Department and will be responsible for: Providing ongoing support to university departments, suppliers, and the community by managing the Procure-to-Pay Helpdesk Services. Researching, responding, and resolving all complex issues including return checks, outdated checks, and travel deposits. Identifying and reporting system errors. Monitoring the Sales Force ticketing system and developing solutions to ensure timely responds to all inquiries. Interpreting and explaining applicable workflow processes related to policies and procedures to troubleshooting for department users. Investigating and resolving issues to ensure returned checks, travel deposits, uncashed checks are identified and communicates problems and opportunities; seeks input and participates in implementing solutions. Reviewing cross functional financial practices and procedures to ensure consistency and creates key process documentation.
Expected Salary:
$16.76 – $19.16 /hour
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of general accounts transaction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to analyze and solve problems, interpret and recommend solutions or changes. Excellent customer service skills, including strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings. Knowledge of the rules and regulations as they affect relevant functions. A thorough understanding of the accounting systems is preferred. Ability to determine work priorities to ensure proper completion of work assignments; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to work under pressure and meet deadlines with diligence and accuracy; to effectively coordinate complex schedules with other University administrative offices; and to analyze and solve problems.
