Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Cocoa Beach, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payment processing and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable functions and a strong understanding of accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payment.
- Maintain and update accounting records using ERP systems and accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable workflows, including accrual accounting and auditing.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain positive relationships.
- Coordinate payment processes, including ACH transfers and automated systems.
- Utilize Concur for expense reporting and approval tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports detailing accounts payable activities for management review.
- Support month-end closing activities by ensuring all payable transactions are accurately recorded.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes for greater efficiency. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.
- Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Concur and other expense management tools.
- Ability to process ACH transactions and manage automated payment systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.
