is seeking a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting Department at our headquarters in Rockledge, FL. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with a basic understanding of accounts payable and accounting principles. Roles & Responsibilities Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment. Enter all invoices to be paid daily.

Complete weekly check run process:

match invoices to checks, obtain signatures and distribute. Maintain vendor 1099s and annual filing. Respond to vendor inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies monthly. Assist in month-end closing. Set up new vendors and maintain records per company policy and accepted accounting practices. Prepare weekly reporting of invoices in process. Assist with other requests and projects as needed. Qualifications 3 years of experience (preferably in Corporate Accounting) required. A high school diploma is required, and college courses in accounting are preferred. Associate’s degree in accounting preferred Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch, ERP experience required. Must have a strong work ethic, professional attitude, and detail oriented. Must be reliable, have excellent time management skills, and have a high sense of urgency to accommodate weekly deadlines. Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to interact with employees and vendors professionally. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, emphasizing accuracy and timeliness. Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately.
