H/D/V while on contract and full benefits package offered on a permanent basis Sanford Rose is looking for a HR/Payroll Accounting Specialist to join a local but growing company in the Rockledge, FL area on a
TEMPORARY TO HIRE
basis. This opportunity requires someone who is passionate about payroll, helping others, and being part of a growing team. They have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives. The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct information pertaining to HR questions and payroll. Responsibilities Processing payroll transactions and timesheets in automated system Reviewing payroll and timesheet transactions for accuracy Reconciling and reporting and necessary adjustments Prepare assigned payroll reports Processing of new hires, promotions and terminations accurately and timely Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with agreements; manage payroll and insurance audits Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures Assist upper management with human resource questions. Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed Performs a variety of activities in support of departmental operations, which may include: reviewing and updating procedures; assisting auditors during audits by obtaining documentation and responding to inquiries; responding to internal and external customer inquiries related to payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable; and assist with month end close process. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll, accounting, and some HR exposure Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, or HR preferred) Excellent computer skills and experience with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel). Solid working knowledge of payroll tax regulations. Strong attention to detail and data validation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other members in the team.
