Bookkeeper Position Available In Broward, Florida

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This position will begin as part-time for approximately three weeks, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate is adaptable, eager to learn, and proficient in fundamental bookkeeping practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including handling customer payments and checkbooks.
• Prepare and send monthly rent increase letters using templates, ensuring accuracy in details such as names and dates.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for basic formulas and calculations, such as annual rent projections.
• Maintain records in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Transition bookkeeping practices from QuickBooks to the Yardi software system within six months.
• Apply knowledge of GAAP principles to ensure proper handling of debits and credits.
• Use Microsoft Word to assist with documentation and correspondence.
• Record and maintain journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. Requirements
• Proficiency in bookkeeping practices with a solid understanding of GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Familiarity with Yardi software or willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and calculations.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word efficiently for documentation purposes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Adaptability to learn and follow company-specific processes.
• Excellent communication skills for handling financial correspondence.
