Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our growing team in Jacksonville, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic accounting department while gaining valuable experience in various financial processes. Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily audits of poker room paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and input financial data into spreadsheets and accounting systems, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
  • Utilize Sage 100 and Excel for data entry and reconciliation tasks, including creating and fixing formulas.
  • Assist with tracking and reconciling cash advances and other financial transactions.
  • Pull financial data from banking websites and prepare it for accounting purposes.
  • Support lost and found processes and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Review and prepare food and beverage documentation for financial records.
  • Serve as a backup for team members during vacations or absences, maintaining seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and troubleshoot formulas.
  • Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work well within a team.
  • A diligent work ethic and the ability to follow directions accurately.
