Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payment processing and maintaining vendor relationships within the retail industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to validate payment obligations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing and invoice matching.
- Apply appropriate discounts to payments and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond promptly to inquiries from vendors.
- Maintain organized accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate files.
- Assist with monthly closing activities and administrative tasks as needed.
- Follow internal controls and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
- Support additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in three-way matching processes and invoice reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Typing and 10-key skills required for efficient data entry.
