Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payment processing and maintaining vendor relationships within the retail industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
  • Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to validate payment obligations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing and invoice matching.
  • Apply appropriate discounts to payments and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and respond promptly to inquiries from vendors.
  • Maintain organized accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate files.
  • Assist with monthly closing activities and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Follow internal controls and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
  • Support additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in three-way matching processes and invoice reconciliation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Typing and 10-key skills required for efficient data entry.
