We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing accounting team in Jacksonville, FL. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This role requires a understanding of accounts payable principles, excellent data entry skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

salary:

$22 – $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM
education: Associate Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding and approvals
• Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve any discrepancies
• Enter invoice data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and checks
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies The essential functions of this role include:
