The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization. Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Prepare journal entries and manage account reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records. Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Sage for efficient bookkeeping processes. Assist in governmental accounting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to public sector standards. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review. Conduct regular audits of accounts to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures. Skills Strong knowledge of governmental accounting practices and principles. Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation techniques. Experience with journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records. Familiarity with accounting software such as Quicken and Sage is highly desirable. Solid understanding of financial concepts and public accounting standards. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
