Pensacola, FL Main Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Help to develop, implement, and administer companywide procedures for the recording of transactions
  • Develop and implement new procedures working with our new software applications to streamline processing
  • Learn AP, AR, Purchasing and Payroll functions
  • Learn Receptionist duties
  • Support multiple areas as required
  • Set up and maintain current vendor accounts, resolving any AP issues timely and effectively
  • Track invoices and due dates, prioritizing discounts and prompt payments for maximum profitability and good standing with vendors
  • Process AP invoices for payment
  • Code, Process, and pay multiple company visa accounts within deadlines
  • Coordinate invoice transfer and processing with purchasing department
  • Support and embody the organizations’ values, goals and operating principles
  • Work on special projects as assigned.

  • Employ discretion and sensitivity with confidential information
  • Work under the guidance of the Accounting Team Leader
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors
Qualifications:
  • Bookkeeping experience or AA/Technical Degree in accounting
Experience:
  • 5 years prior experience working with general accounting in a dynamic environment
  • Construction accounting experience a plus
  • ERP software experience a plus
Skills:

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound judgment

  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively and independently with a positive attitude
