Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator (AP) to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the Accounts Payable department by managing invoice processing and payment functions. The Accounting Coordinator will ensure the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintain up-to-date financial records, and assist with resolving discrepancies. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a problem-solving attitude who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

Process high volumes of time-sensitive vendor invoices. Meet daily processing quotas. Batch and scan invoices into the ERP system for assigned areas. Accurately match and enter data for invoices, including: Matching packing slips (three-way match system). Correctly coding Non-PO invoices. Reconcile monthly vendor statements with related transactions. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status. Perform additional operational tasks as needed to support the Accounts Payable team.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience. Accounting diploma or administrative certificate is considered an asset. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High data entry speed and accuracy. Proficiency in accounting software and systems. Comfortable communicating with vendors and staff via phone, email, or messaging. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Discretion in handling confidential information.
