This includes executing payments according to the proper AP workflow, policies and procedures. The Accounting Associate will gain practical hands-on experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Schedule and Pay Monday –

Friday, Hybrid Schedule Salary Range:

$41,400 – $46,000 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review, code and enter all accounts payable invoices. Ensure proper department/GL coding for all AP transactions. Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices and resolve invoice discrepancies. Reconcile accounts, prepare reports, collect and maintain detailed records. Review and update information in accounting systems, perform analyses and verify data for accuracy and completeness. Monitor accounts to make sure all payments are up to date and invoices have been received. Monitor invoices pending for approval and declined. Managing AP Inbox and scanning of vendor invoices. Handling vendor calls on payment statuses. Establish and maintain positive relationships with all vendor accounts. Prepare check requests and electronic payments. Assisting with employee expense reimbursements, audit and verify expense reports. Ensure all credit card transactions are approved. Monthly reporting; assist with month end closing. Document LWVI Finance processes. Administrative support for Finance Office. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Required Two (2) Five (5) years’ experience working in Accounting Department preferred Prior general ledger or bookkeeping experience Experience with monthly and annual financial close; handon experience with computerized account systems (i.e. Sage, DacEasy, QuickBooks or other general ledger systems) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively (in both oral and written forms) across all levels of the organization. Must have strong verbal, written and analytical skills. Must have demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must demonstrate adaptability to change. Must be able to effectively work independently and within a team. Must be able to manage both time and priority constraints and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
