Accounts Receivable

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivables & Collections Medical Specialist to join our dynamic client. Crucially, we are looking for an individual with proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, including familiarity with medical billing, and insurance processes. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with Doctor offices and insurance providers.

Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:

Work with insurance companies and doctor offices to resolve current accounts receivables
Adjust coding to a more appropriate code to clear and approve the accounts receivable
Follow up on all current accounts receivable accounts assigned to you

Collections:

Proactively follow up on outstanding patient balances and insurance claims.
Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies regarding payment inquiries and issues.
Understand and navigate Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and insurance payment processes.
Establish and maintain payment plans when necessary.
Document all collection efforts accurately in the patient management system.
Identify and escalate delinquent accounts according to established procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or collections, preferably within a medical office, clinic, hospital, or insurance environment.
An understanding of medical billing processes, insurance terminology (e.g., CPT codes, ICD-10 codes), and the revenue cycle in healthcare is helpful but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00
